A New Gathering of Presbytery Leaders

In May, the Synod will facilitate a new gathering of Presbytery leaders. This new group includes presbytery leaders, general presbyters, executive presbyters, resource presbyters, and stated clerks representing all 22 presbyteries in the Synod. 

Our gathering will be held at the Stony Point Conference Center on May 1-2, beginning and ending with lunch. The agenda for this gathering will include reflections on how the function and purpose of mid-councils are changing and learnings on how these changes affect the roles of mid-council leadership. There will be a time for stated clerks to report the results of presbytery minutes reviews and have their books stamped. We will also include time for continuing to cultivate collegiality among leaders and hear updates concerning Synod programs that support the work of presbyteries.
