Matthew 25 In Action: Giving Tuesday — Fueling Ministry that Changes Lives

On Giving Tuesday, our Synod puts love into motion. Rooted in Matthew 25:31–46, we invest in ministries that build congregational vitality, dismantle structural racism, and eradicate systemic poverty across the Northeast. This year, we’re focusing our collective generosity on four impact areas. Your gift—of any size—helps neighbors experience the tangible love of Christ.

1) Build Congregational Vitality: Small Church Residency

Emerging pastors serve alongside small congregations, strengthening worship, outreach, and leadership while receiving coaching and support. Your gift equips resilient congregations to flourish in their communities.

2) Dismantle Structural Racism: Native American Church Initiative

Partner with Indigenous congregations and leaders to preserve sacred spaces, underwrite cultural/faith formation, and amplify Indigenous voices in the church. Your gift honors covenant relationships and advances justice.

3) Eradicate Systemic Poverty: Emergency Migrant Ministry Grants

Congregations are meeting urgent needs—food, shelter, legal referrals, transportation, school supplies—for newly arrived neighbors. Your gift moves aid quickly where it’s needed most.

4) Honor Indigenous Peoples’ Day (within the NA Church Initiative)

Support education, worship, and public witness connected to Indigenous Peoples’ Day—lifting histories, celebrating resilience, and nurturing relationship. (Designate “Indigenous Peoples’ Day” with your NA Church Initiative gift.)

How your Giving Tuesday gift lives out Matthew 25

  • Vitality: pastors and people equipped to serve with creativity and hope.

  • Anti-racism: repair and right-relationship with Indigenous neighbors.

  • Poverty relief: rapid, practical assistance for families on the margins.

Let’s do this—together. Give, share, and invite your congregation to join the movement at https://www.givingtuesday.org/.
Because what we do matters to God—and to our neighbors.
