Synod Assembly 2022 | Pre-Assembly Workshop : Jubilee, Matthew 25 and the Work of Reparations

Workshop Description

CJP will offer a primer on the idea of reparations, healing and repair to help participants visualize concrete actions that congregations and mid-councils can take to respond to structural racism. This work is both grounded in scripture and in the ethos of what it means to be Presbyterian. How is the work of healing and repair grounded in the Hebrew Scriptures of Jubilee? How can our churches take concrete steps to respond to the recommendations of the 225th General Assembly to encourage the work of reparations. The workshop will include small group interaction and a resource to take back to your Presbytery to help explore these ideas in new ways.
