November 7-8, 2019
Thursday afternoon - Friday lunch
Followed by Come to the Table (Nov. 8-9)
Stony Point Center

This year, in collaboration with Come to the Table, we are expanding on the theme of “For Such a Time as This” and delving into the story of Esther as we consider the contexts and conditions in which we serve. In our various ministries, what are the things that bring us joy? Where do we feel the need to lament? What brings us sustenance, courage, and focus?

On November 7-8, 2019 at the Stony Point Center, we will gather in worship, around tables, over food, and in the beauty and bounty of God’s people and creations! As we join together in guided conversation about the realities in which we find ourselves, there will also be plenty of time for fun, fellowship, and sabbath.

The event is a bit shorter this year, so registration is just $50 per participant ($40 for commuters). We hope this will be manageable for everyone, but scholarships are available. Please contact Lori Hylton if you need assistance.

The registration deadline is October 24, 2019.

Arrival Logistics

We will be meeting at the Stony Point Center in Stony Point, NY. The address is: 17 Cricketown Road; Stony Point, New York 10980.

(Please note we are at Stony Point this year, not Silver Bay!)

For additional travel details, especially if you are planning to arrive by public transportation, please visit the “Getting Here” page on the Stony Point website. They share excellent info there, as well as instructions for how to arrange for a station shuttle if you need one.

Further event-specific details will be coming soon!

Fellow Participants

A list of participants and their basic information will be made available to event attendees by email a couple weeks before the event. If you are registered for the event but do not receive that email by Nov. 1, please contact Margaret Mitsuyasu to obtain a copy of the list. For privacy purposes, only those registered for the event are eligible to receive this list, and information is included only for those who grant permission to do so during registration.

For those attending, please feel free to contact others in your area about carpooling or otherwise coordinating your travel arrangements. (Pro tip: Use the funnel button to the right of the printer icon to sort the list by category, a few options are already provided.)

Packing Considerations

Stony Point provides linens and towels but not basic toiletries. Please be sure to bring your own.

If you have a favorite board game (or several) you'd like to share with the group, bring it along to add to the fun! We already have a few, but the more the merrier!

Emergency Contact Information

Stony Point tends to have reasonable cell coverage and they have wifi throughout the campus as well.

However, for urgent matters your family members and other critical contacts may call the Stony Point office at 845-786-5674 if they are not able to reach you directly. The staff will be sure those messages get to you.

Young Ministry Leaders

If you are or know of a young ministry leader who might like to be involved,
please contact our Mission Coordinator, Margaret Mitsuyasu.
We’d love to hear from you!
