Presbytery of Western New York

Director of Congregational Strategy and Transformation
The Director of Congregational Strategy and Transformation will provide hands-on assistance in the field and implement a regional strategy for congregational development and work with individual congregations who are ready to embark on new directions in ministry.
• Works with Presbytery Council in forming, implementing and evaluating the Mission
Strategies of Presbytery – especially as they relate to Congregational Development/Transformation.
• Works with Congregational Transformation Team to establish and implement a regional strategy of congregational development/transformation
• Assists the Congregational Transformation Team in promoting resources for congregational health such as Natural Church Development and other programs.
• Serves as a resource to the Evaluation Committee of Council regarding Mission Priorities
• Provides and/or coordinates resources, workshops, training events and general assistance to churches undergoing strategic planning and engaging in mission studies.
• Oversees a budget for providing programs and/or contract staff to congregations or groups of congregations
• Promotes the ministry of Natural Church Development in the presbytery, as well as other resources for assessing and developing congregational health and vitality

Director of Spiritual Nurture and Discipleship
The Director of Spiritual Nurture & Discipleship will provide hands on assistance to
congregations, and ministry teams, in nurturing faith, discipleship, and leadership in people of
all ages.

New England Presbytery Partnership Group

New England Presbyterian Immigration Initiative
A part-time position is available with the New England Presbytery Partnership Group for a New England Presbyterian Immigrant Initiative. The job would include:
a. Visit immigrant congregations in the three presbyteries to learn about their needs and assist them as possible.
b. Attend meetings of the three presbyteries to provide education about GA immigration policies and make available information on the needs and concerns of NE Presbyterian immigrant congregations.
c. Set up regional periodic meetings between immigrant and English speaking congregations, for dialogue, worship, fellowship, and support.
d. Connect with the appropriate General Assembly Council offices and agencies.
e. Enlist support from NE Presbyterians for advocacy toward changes in national immigration legislation, as proposed by the General Assembly of the PCUSA.
f. Develop working relationships with other NE denominations on immigration issues.
g. Assist in the implementation of the policies on immigration of the GA, the Synod and the NE Presbyteries.
