Executive Presbyter

The Presbytery of Genesee Valley, a community of 69 congregations serving a 6 county area in Western New York (our offices are located in Rochester), seeks to call a new leader to help us advance our mission of growing and transforming congregations. We seek a leader with significant experience in congregational development, leadership nurture and support, communications and strategic visioning.

NEW YORK CITY

INTERIM EXECUTIVE PRESBYTER

We seek a seasoned minister or elder to lead the presbytery for up to three years in optimizing the diversity of its congregations for creative mission in the nation's largest city.  The presbytery is beginning a synod-mandated process of trust building, staff development, and conflict resolution.  Strong relational skills, change management, and administrative expertise required.  Interim training is highly desirable.  Send PIF or résumé by April 1, 2010 to NewYorkCityPresbyteryIEPSearch@yahoogroups.com.

DEPUTY EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR FOR MISSION

This is a key leadership role for the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.). Reporting to the Deputy are the directors of our six mission areas: Theology Worship and Education, Evangelism and Church Growth, World Mission, Compassion Peace and Justice, Racial Ethnic and Women’s Ministries/Presbyterian Women, and the Office of Vocation (which is a joint office of the GAMC and the Office of the General Assembly).

ASSOCIATE FOR MISSION COMMUNICATIONS

Have you ever thought about working for the national offices of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.)? A position is now open for “associate for Mission Communications.” This position will develop and execute communication strategies, plans, messages and materials for key constituents, and will help develop and communicate compelling stories of mission and ministry. A bachelor’s degree is required; master’s degree is preferred. The successful candidate will have five to seven years of integrated marketing/communications experience and should be comfortable working in the language and environment of faith.
